This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Launcher OS 27 ("we," "us," or "our")
collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Launcher OS 27 Android
application (package com.os27.launcher.custom.phone) and its related services
(collectively, the "Services").
Launcher OS 27 is a home-screen (launcher) app. It does not require you to create an account, and much of what a launcher handles — your app list, contacts, calendar and photos — is processed only on your device. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Give Us Directly
- No account: The app has no sign-up or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or password.
- Support messages: If you email us (for example via Launcher Settings → Mail us), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in the message.
- Payments: The app does not offer in-app purchases and does not collect payment information.
B. Data Processed On Your Device Only
To work as a launcher, the app reads the following data on your device, only after you grant the matching Android permission. This data is not uploaded to our servers:
- Installed apps (package visibility) — to show, search, categorise, hide, rename and uninstall apps.
- Contacts (READ_CONTACTS) — to show matching contacts in search results.
- Calendar (READ_CALENDAR) — to show events in calendar widgets and search.
- App usage statistics (Usage Access) — to suggest apps you are likely to open.
- Notifications (Notification access) — only to count notifications and show badges on app icons. Notification content is not stored or sent anywhere.
- Photos and images (photo picker / storage) — to display photos you choose in photo widgets, create custom icons in Icon Studio, and apply wallpapers.
- Biometric lock — hidden apps are protected by Android's system biometric prompt. We never receive your fingerprint or face data.
C. Location (Weather)
If you allow location access, the app uses your device's location to show local weather. The latitude, longitude and time zone are sent to the third-party weather service Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) to retrieve the forecast. We do not store your location on our servers. You can deny location and add cities manually instead.
D. Information Collected Automatically
- Device and app data: device model and manufacturer, Android version, app version, language, time zone, and app-instance identifiers generated by the SDKs listed in Section 2.
- Advertising ID: your Android Advertising ID (GAID), used by our advertising and attribution partners.
- Usage and diagnostics: which screens and features are used, ad impressions and interactions, crash reports and performance traces.
- Install attribution: how the app was installed (Google Play Install Referrer and our attribution partner).
- Push token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can send notifications if you allow them.
- Content requests: when you browse themes, icon packs, wallpapers and widgets, the app requests them from our content server with your app language, app version and search terms. These requests do not include your name or contacts.
2. Third-Party Services & Advertising
A. Analytics, Crash Reporting & Attribution
- Google Firebase — Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config and Cloud Messaging (privacy).
- AppsFlyer — install attribution and marketing measurement (privacy).
- Databuckets — in-app event analytics used to improve features and ad experience.
- Google Play services — Install Referrer, In-App Updates and In-App Review.
B. Advertising
Launcher OS 27 is free and supported by ads. Some themes, icon packs or wallpapers can be unlocked by watching a rewarded ad. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may mediate the following partners: AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Mintegral, Pangle, Moloco, InMobi and Yield Solutions. These partners may collect your Advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad interactions to serve and measure ads, which may be personalised.
- Opt out of personalised ads: on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) and delete or reset your Advertising ID.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide launcher features: home screen, search, suggestions, widgets, weather, themes and icons;
- To deliver themes, icon packs, wallpapers and widgets from our content server;
- To show ads, including rewarded ads that unlock content, and to measure their performance;
- To understand feature usage, fix crashes and improve performance;
- To send notifications you have allowed;
- To respond to support requests;
- To protect the Services and comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:
- With the service providers listed in Section 2, which process data to provide analytics, crash reporting, attribution, weather and advertising;
- For legal reasons — if reasonably necessary to comply with law or a legal request, or protect the rights and safety of our users or others;
- In a business transfer — if the app or its operator is merged, acquired or sold.
5. Data Retention and Security
On-device data (layout, hidden apps, widgets, settings) stays on your phone and is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
Analytics and diagnostics data is retained by the providers in Section 2 according to their own retention settings and policies. We use encrypted (HTTPS) connections for network requests. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Permissions: every permission above is optional for the app as a whole; you can revoke any of them in Android Settings → Apps → Launcher OS 27 → Permissions. The related feature will stop working.
- Advertising ID: reset or delete it in Android settings to limit ad tracking.
- Delete local data: clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
- Access, correction, deletion (GDPR / CCPA and similar laws): since we have no accounts, email [email protected] and we will help you exercise your rights with respect to data held by us or our providers.
7. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
